In March 2018, the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) released a suite of documents that formed the basis of decisions on the Child Poverty Reduction Bill.
This includes:
- advice from officials that was submitted to the Minister for Child Poverty Reduction by DPMC
- Cabinet Committee papers from the Minister for Child Poverty Reduction and associated minutes.
These documents relate to the purpose, content and consultation on the Bill, in the period leading up to Bill’s introduction into the House.
On 14 June, the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet released the Cabinet paper and minute relating to the three-year intermediate targets announced by the Government in March 2018
On 22 May 2019, the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet released the minutes confirming child poverty reduction targets.
