The Government is committed to reducing child poverty and improving the wellbeing of all children and young people.
Through the Child Wellbeing and Poverty Reduction Group, DPMC provided stewardship for the Child and Youth Wellbeing Strategy and the Child Poverty Reduction Act. The vision of the Strategy is that New Zealand is the best place in the world for children and young people. Part of achieving this vision includes achieving a significant and sustained reduction in levels of child poverty.
