Public Notice: Ōtākaro Avon River Corridor Regeneration Plan and Partial Revocation of the Christchurch Central Recovery Plan Approved#
The Minister for Greater Christchurch Regeneration gives the following two notices:
ŌTĀKARO AVON RIVER CORRIDOR REGENERATION PLAN#
Pursuant to section 38(3) of the Greater Christchurch Regeneration Act 2016, notice that the Ōtākaro Avon River Corridor Regeneration Plan developed by Regenerate Christchurch has been approved under section 38 of the Greater Christchurch Regeneration Act 2016.
It provides a vision and objectives for short, medium and long-term future land uses and opportunities for the 602-hectare area in the heart of east Christchurch.
The Ōtākaro Avon River Corridor Regeneration Plan comes into effect on 30 August 2019.
The Ōtākaro Avon River Corridor Regeneration Plan can be viewed on the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet’s website at dpmc.govt.nz/OARCplan
From 28 August 2019 reference copies will be available at Christchurch City Council service centres and libraries, and the main office of Selwyn and Waimakariri District Councils.
PARTIAL REVOCATION OF THE CHRISTCHURCH CENTRAL RECOVERY PLAN#
Pursuant to section 58(3) of the Greater Christchurch Regeneration Act 2016, notice that the Partial Revocation of the Christchurch Central Recovery Plan developed by Regenerate Christchurch has been approved under section 58 of the Greater Christchurch Regeneration Act 2016.
Revocation of part of the Christchurch Central Recovery Plan for an area of approximately 8.8ha of land located on the north eastern side of the central city, within the four avenues, will help to avoid the potential for inconsistencies and confusion following the approval of the Ōtākaro Avon River Corridor Regeneration Plan.
The Partial Revocation of the Christchurch Central Recovery Plan comes into effect on 30 August 2019.
The subsequent addendum to the Christchurch Central Recovery Plan can be viewed on the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet’s website at dpmc.govt.nz/OARCplan. From 28 August 2019 reference copies of the addendum will be available at Christchurch City Council service centres and libraries, and the main office of Selwyn and Waimakariri District Councils.
